This blog is all about linocuts. As well as featuring the best linocuts from around the world I will also be periodically posting "how-to" guides to the various different linocut techniques, guides to equipment and tools and other related subjects such as exhibitions, books and interviews with contemporary linocut artists.
I am an artist and illustrator living in Margate, on the south east coast of England. I specialise in printmaking, with a particular thing for linocuts. As an artist I am inspired by anything a bit out of the ordinary, strange, weird or taboo. Illustration jobs have included books for Penguin and Faber and Faber and a cover for Icon magazine. I have exhibited widely in the UK and internationally and I teach regular printmaking workshops from my Margate studio. I have also run courses for a number of years at East London Printmakers and other studios in the UK and Italy. I sometimes write for Printmaking Today magazine. Enjoy the blog and feel free to comment on posts or contact me at nickbmorley at hotmail dot com. Thanks!
